Bars & Restaurants

The lodge has a dining room and bar with a restaurant are, however, dining in the dry river bed, main patio and on sundowners in the bush are all part of the dining experiences at Camp Jabulani.

Camp Jabulani will be launching a brand new and exclusive unit in September 2009. Aptly named The Zindoga Villa, this unit is named after the second male born to the elephant herd in 2007, and means “On Its Own”.

Designed to blend with the surrounding bush in the same manner as the existing camp, the luxury villa will be specifically tailored to appeal to smaller groups, and families with children of all ages.

The Zindoga Villa is an exclusive unit (ideal for 6 people, with 2 adults in one of the luxury units, and 2 adults with 2 children in the other or a family of five). A dedicated chef and team of staff will be on hand to ensure that each member of the party enjoys their safari experience in optimum comfort and luxury.

Looking after younger guests

The Lodge will have a children’s activity program called Team Tusker for the children accommodated at The Zindoga Village. Please see attached information for your perusal.

Rooms Types

There are 6 luxury suites at Camp Jabulani, each of them 90 m². The open plan bedroom and bathroom can be divided by a fold up room divider. There are stone and Victorian style baths and double vanities, glass-enclosed outdoor showers and private plunge pools. The luxury suites attend to your every need – mosquito nets, air-conditioning, fans, tea & coffee-making facilities.

Family

The Zindoga Villa consists of 2 suites, one with an inter-leading passage to an extra room suitable for 2 children. The Zindoga Villa is 425 m² and also has a deck which is an additional 275 m². Cots or day beds are available.

Rates

Suites start from £415 per person on a partially inclusive (PI) basis and from £647 on a fully inclusive (FI) basis. The rates include:

  • Luxury accommodation in air-conditioned suites.
  • Butler and daily laundry service. (not included on PI rates)
  • All meals, snacks, beverages and local branded alcoholic drinks. (beverages and drinks not included on PI rates)
  • Daily activities including elephant excursions, game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks, accompanied by experienced game rangers and expert elephant handlers. Additional activities such as clay pigeon shooting can be arranged on request. (Elephant excurions are not included on PI rates and is an optional extra)
  • A visit to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.

Family

  • Children under the age of 12 years, will only be accommodated at The Zindoga Villa. The set rate for The Zindoga Villa is for 4 adults and 2 children. Additional children can be accommodated in day beds at an additional charge.
  • Children under the age of 10 will only be accommodated on the morning elephant safaris, accompanied by parents/guardians. Children will be accepted on the elephant safaris at the sole discretion of the Elephant Master.

Camp Jabulani is has an extensive programme of eco-friendly practices in place to ensure a sustainable use of their resources. This programme includes all facets of the reserve including the elephants, vehicles, waste management and its very close link with the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) which guest can visit on their stay at Camp Jabulani. Furthermore the reserve employs a extensive environmental programme among the local communities as well as a structured educational programme thought HESC.
