Facilities & Services

• Lodge pool (tucked into the hillside).
• Twice-daily game drives in open safari vehicles.
• Night drives on the camp’s wilderness concession – a real highlight.
• Guided walks up and along the quartzite hills or in game-rich valley ending with sundowners served on the crest of a hill.

Bars & Restaurants

• Dinners are served in the main dining area, which is graced by a large open fireplace.
• Fresh vegetables picked from the Camp’s shamba (an organic African garden) create wholesome Pan African dishes.
• A large beautifully furnished open-sided bar/sitting area with a central fireplace, just a short walk from the dining room, both with sweeping views of the valley and surrounding hills.
• Bush breakfasts and dinners at spectacular locations are a speciality.

Overview

Children are welcome at this very friendly Lodge. Regretfully, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game drives. Children aged 6 to 11 years are accommodated on game drives at the lodge manager’s discretion.

Babysitting & Supervised Activities

Childminding is available at an additional cost.

Bespoke Meals provided as and when required.

Safety

• Animals: The lodge is unfenced.
• Height: The lodge is set on the top of a hill.
• Water: The lodge pool is set in a secluded area beside the lodge but not fenced off.

Room Types

Intimate cottages of local stone and makuti, with rich wooden floors and classic interiors. The bathrooms are ensuite and have a shower, twin hand basins and w.c. From the private veranda a diversity of resident wildlife may be viewed in the valley below.

Each room is also equipped with mosquito nets, hairdryers, in room safe, and a painter’s easel if the stunning views inspire the artist within you.

Family

The camp has 2 triple rooms available to accommodate up to 1 child under 16 sharing with parents.

Rates

The rates are from £566 per person which includes accommodation, 3 meals daily, all soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas & coffees, refreshments on game drives, laundry, scheduled safari activities and transfers to and from Klein’s airstrip. (valid 01/04/12 – 31/05/12 & 11/11/12– 20/12/12)

Family

• Children under 6 years sharing stay free of charge.
• Children age 6 to 11 years (sharing with 2 adults or 1 adult) subject to triple policy pay 50% of the full adult rate.
• First child (regardless of age) in own room pays full adult rate subsequent children 11 years & younger pay 50% of full adult rate.
• Children 12 to 16 years subject to triple policy pay full adult rate.
• Children in their own cottage pay adult rates.
