Facilities on site include swimming pools, Bistro and Spa, making this an affordable and attractive option as a base to explore the Garden Route.

Please note: these are inclusive in price unless otherwise stated.

  • Pool: Outdoor swimming pool with stunning views over the lake (please note that whilst children are allowed in the pool they must be supervised and this is designated a ‘Quiet Zone’.
  • Spa & Gym: Including sauna and steam rooms, indoor heated relaxation pool (no under 12’s) and gym alongside an exclusive spa with wide range of specialist beauty and body treatments.
  • Lake: The natural freshwater lake is a host to boating and fishing.
  • Nature Trails: Guided nature walks through the dense woodland of the indigenous Milkwood forests in the adjacent reserve can also be taken (at a charge).
  • 2.5 km walk to the beach.

Bars & Restaurants

  • Although the Suites have equipped kitchenettes, The Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week offering wholesome meals and daily specials accompanied by fine South African wines.
  • The Bar and Terrace serves exotic cocktails and sundowners.

Overview

The combination of space and self-catering facilities with additional amenities including daily maid service and restaurant on site, creates a flexible family accommodation option.

Looking after younger guests

  • Children’s swimming pool with slide separte to main pool (which is designated a ’Quiet Zone, but children are welcome to swim here too, but no in the indoor Spa pool).
  • Small children’s playground including wendy house, jungle gym and volleyball court.

Children’s Meals

  • Children’s Menu available in the Restaurant on request.
  • A kitchenette in each Suite for self-catering

Rooms types

Please note Lake Pleasant is not a ‘hotel’ and as such does not offer the same staff to guest ratio and ‘touches’ such as bathrobes & slippers and turndown service, but this is reflected in the price, given the space available to guests.

The serviced and fully air-conditioned suites all have breathtaking views of the lake and landscaped gardens from private patios and balconies. 1-bedroom suites offer one full en-suite bedroom, kitchenette, guest bathroom (including shower), open plan lounge with sofa bed and dining area, whilst 2-bedroom suites offer an additional en-suite bedroom.

6 new Duplex Villas benefit from 2 bedrooms, spacious sitting room with DVD player and flue-less fireplace, laundry and outside a furnished terrace with private plunge pool and built-in barbeque as well as lock-up garage.

Family

  • Up to 2 children can share a 1-bedroom suite, sharing a sofa bed in the sitting room.
  • Up to 4 children can share a 2-bedroom suite or villa, with use of their own bedroom and sharing a sofa bed in the sitting room.

Rates

Rates from £67 per night per adult sharing, inclusive of Bed & Breakfast, in a One-Bedroom Suite (valid 01/05/12 – 30/09/12).

Family

  • Children under 2 years free of charge
  • Children 2 – 11 pay a nominal breakfast charge of approx £17 when accommodated on a sofa bed.
  • Children charged adult rate in their own Luxury SUITE.
